CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Some popular protein powders may be hazardous to your health.

A study found high levels of heavy metals, BPA and pesticides associated with cancer in 134 products from 52 brands.

Researchers also found organic products tested positive for more than twice the heavy metals, including arsenic.

Plant-based powders were the dirtiest and those that were chocolate-based had higher levels of heavy metals.
