Andy Dalton and wife, Jordan, host "Date Night" for parents of ill children
FORT WORTH, Texas (WKRC) - Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and his wife, Jordan, are known for their generous gestures and charity work with the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation.
On July 12, they hosted a "Date Night" dinner for parents of ill and special needs children at The Worthington Renaissance Hotel, according to NBCDFW.
"Date Night" is designed to give those parents a chance to take a break from their daily childcare duties.
While the parents were enjoying a stress-free night, the Dalton Foundation took care of the kids by providing a Build-a-Bear workshop, a photo booth, gaming stations, and dinner.
The foundation was founded in 2011 and its purpose is to provide support, resources, and life-changing experiences to seriously ill and physically challenged children and their families.
Other events hosted by the Dalton's include "King for a Day," "Pass It On Fund," and "Holiday Hearts." They also have Andy & Jordan's Hubs located at hospitals in Cincinnati and Texas that provide patients and their families access to entertainment and educational resources such as iPads, computers, theater systems, and gaming consoles to help pass the time during hospital stays.
Those events are funded by fundraisers like the Andy & Jordan Dalton Foundation Golf Scramble and Celebrity Waiter Night.
