Bengals announce signing of T.J. Johnson

The Bengals re-signed restricted free agent offensive lineman T.J. Johnson (WKRC/Tony Tribble).

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Bengals re-signed C T.J. Johnson, who had become a restricted free agent with the start of the new NFL year. Johnson (6-4, 300; South Carolina) is a fourth-year NFL player in 2017. He signed a two-year contract.

Johnson has been with the Bengals since 2013, when he joined the team as a seventh-round draft choice. He played in every game in 2016, seeing his highest level of snaps with the offense and starting at LG in the season finale.

“T.J. has raised his level of play every year he’s been with us,” said offensive line coach Paul Alexander. “He is smart, tough and reliable. It’s great to know he’s back.”
