Bengals to open preseason at home on August 11, game on Local 12

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Dates and kickoff times are now set for all Bengals 2017 preseason games with a trio of contests on Local 12.

The Bengals open the preseason with back-to-back home games, including a Friday night opener on Local 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Aug. 11 that kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and a Saturday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Aug. 19 that kicks off at 7 p.m. also on Local 12.

Cincinnati will play a nationally televised (FOX) road game on Sun., Aug. 27 at Washington, marking the eighth time in the last eight years for the Bengals to be selected by the league’s broadcast partners for a national game. The Bengals’ other road game will be a Thursday night finale in Indianapolis on Local 12 against the Colts. The Buccaneers, Chiefs and Colts games will be televised by the Bengals Preseason TV Network/Local 12.

Though dates and kickoff times for the Bengals’ regular season schedule are yet to be announced, the list of home and road opponents has been set. The regular season home schedule features AFC North Division rivals Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, along with the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.

The regular-season schedule with dates and kickoff times is expected to be released on Thursday night.

  • Friday, Aug. 11: TAMPA BAY, 7:30 p.m. LOCAL 12
  • Saturday, Aug. 19: KANSAS CITY, 7 p.m. LOCAL 12
  • Sunday, Aug. 27: at Washington, 4:30 p.m. (FOX)
  • Thursday, Aug 31: at Indianapolis, 7 p.m. LOCAL 12
