Bengals sign four draft picks
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Bengals signed four of their 11 draft picks on Friday.
The signings included fifth-round draft picks CB Davontae Harris and DT Andrew Brown, as well as seventh-round picks QB Logan Woodside and G Rod Taylor.
Harris (5-11, 205; Illinois State) was the first of three Bengals fifth-round draft choices. Brown (6-3, 296; Virginia) was second among the Bengals’ three fifth-rounders.
Woodside (6-1, 213; Toledo) was the first of Cincinnati’s three seventh-round draft choices, while Taylor (6-3, 320; Mississippi) was the second of those three picks.
Harris played in 49 career games for Illinois State and recorded four interceptions, 38 passes defensed, three sacks and 10 tackles for losses. He helped the Redbirds to three FCS playoff appearances in his four years of action (2014-17), including a berth in the ’14 championship game.
Brown played four seasons at Virginia and finished his career with 10.5 sacks and 26.5 tackles for losses in 41 games. As a senior in 2017, he totaled three sacks and 10.5 tackles for losses.
Woodside was a three-year starter (2014, ’16-17) at Toledo, and left with school records in passing yards (10,514), passing TDs (93) and 300-yard passing games (17). He racked up a 29-9 record as a starter for the Rockets, including an 11-3 mark and conference championship last season.
Taylor played in 44 games over four seasons at Mississippi. His 23 career starts included 12 at RT, seven at LT and four at RG. The Bengals list Taylor at guard.
