Bengals sign three rookies to deals
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Bengals on Monday signed three rookies who participated in this weekend’s rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis to deals: safety Tyrice Beverette; center Brad Lundblade and defensive tackle Chris Okoye .
To make room for the three signings, the Bengals waived guard Oni Omoile, tight end Scott Orndoff and safety Robenson Therezie. Omoile and Orndoff are first-year players in 2018, while Therezie is a third-year player.
Beverette started all 11 games last season at Stony Brook and recorded a team-high 98 tackles, including 9.0 for losses and 4.5 sacks, along with four interceptions and four forced fumbles.
Lundblade, who was signed as a college free agent on May 4 by the Seattle Seahawks but waived three days later, joined the Oklahoma State program as a walk-on before earning a scholarship before the ’15 season. He started every game for the Cowboys over his final two seasons (’16-17), and last year was named first-team All-Big 12.
Okoye played in all 13 games last season for Ferris State and recorded 25 tackles, including two for losses, with a half-sack and a forced fumble.
