CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Just a few days after the NFL unveiled preseason schedules for teams, the league has apparently set Thursday, April 20, as the date it will release the regular-season schedule for each team.

That was the date it was expected to be released - a week before the NFL Draft begins - but Detroit Lions president Rod Wood basically made it official on Thursday while the team was showing off its new uniforms.

When asked if the Lions had anything else planned for the offseason, Wood said, according to ESPN.com: "I don't have anything else other than getting this renovation done,. That's the thing I got to focus on getting done before the season starts.

"The schedule coming out next Thursday will be a focus, too."

So there's that.

The opponents have been known since the end of the season, and future schedules for 2018 and 2019 are set as well, but the date and starting times for games, including games that will be played in prime time, are what will be announced this coming Thursday.

The Bengals will play the following teams home and away in 2017:

  • Home (opponent record in 2016): Baltimore (8-8), Cleveland (1-15), Pittsburgh (11-5), Houston (9-7), Indianapolis (8-8), Chicago (3-13), Detroit (9-7), Buffalo (7-9).
  • Road (opponent record in 2016): Baltimore (8-8), Cleveland (1-15), Pittsburgh (11-5), Tennessee (9-7), Jacksonville (3-13), Green Bay (10-6), Minnesota (8-8), Denver (9-7).
