Browns reportedly hiring former Bengals offensive coordinator
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Cleveland Browns are likely going to hire former Bengals offensive coordinator Ken Zampese as quarterbacks coach, according to Cleveland.com.
Zampese served in that same capacity under current Browns head coach Hue Jackson when Jackson was offensive coordinator with the Bengals.
Zampese then replaced Jackson as Bengals offensive coordinator in 2016 when Jackson left to become Browns head coach.
The Bengals fired Zampese two games into the 2017 season after the Bengals offense failed to score a touchdown in either of the first two games.
He had been with the Bengals as quarterbacks coach since 2003 when Marvin Lewis was hired as head coach.
Zampese helped develop both Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton into Pro Bowl quarterbacks.
