Three Bengals starters out for Titans game, another doubtful; Boyd healthy
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Bengals have three starters listed as out and another as doubtful for Sunday's game at the Tennessee Titans, while kicker Randy Bullock has a chance to play and the team has all seven wide receivers on the 53-man roster healthy.
Kickoff for Sunday's game is 1 p.m. at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
The three starters who are out each missed all three days of practice this week: middle linebacker Kevin Minter (elbow); defensive tackle Pat Sims (right calf) and running back Jeremy Hill (ankle).
The one starter listed as doubtful is safety Shawn Williams (hamstring), who did not participate in Friday's light walk-through practice.
Minter hasn't practiced since suffering the elbow injury in the Oct. 22 game at Pittsburgh.
Sims suffered his calf injury in the first quarter of the Jacksonville game and didn't return.
Hill wasn't on the injury report last week, but missed the Jacksonville game due to an ankle injury suffered in last Saturday's walk-through practice, although Hill said the ankle had been bothering him for awhile.
Williams was bothered by a hamstring issue during practice last week, started this past Sunday's game at Jacksonville and then was taken out early due to the injury. He didn't practice on Wednesday, but returned on Thursday as a limited participant.
Bullock is listed as questionable and was a limited participant in Friday's practice. He has been bothered by a back issue since last week and was placed on the inactive list for the Jacksonville game because of the issue.
Wide receiver Tyler Boyd was a full participant on Friday after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday. Boyd suffered a knee injury in the first half of the Oct. 8 game against Buffalo and didn't return to practice until Wednesday.
His return means the Bengals have seven healthy receivers. They usually only make five active on game day, but with three players already ruled out, Williams unlikley to play, either Bullock or Marshall Koehn and at least one offensive lineman (Alex Redmond or Christian Westerman) being placed on the seven-player inactive list it means the Bengals may keep six receivers on the 46-member game day roster.
The decision will likely be between Boyd, who still may not be healthy enough to play in a game, rookie first-round pick John Ross or Cody Core for which one is made inactive.
