FC Cincinnati acquires Crew's Cristian Martinez on loan

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - FC Cincinnati have acquired midfielder, Cristian Martinez, on loan from Columbus Crew on a game-by-game basis.

Martinez, from Panama City, Panama, will be eligible to play with FCC this weekend at Richmond. A two-year member of the Crew, Martinez made five appearances, including two starts in his rookie season. He scored once against Philadelphia, scoring against the Union to become the youngest member of the Crew to score in a regular-season match.

Prior to joining the Crew in May of 2016, the 20-year old played with Chorrillo FC in Panama. He has had a stint with the Panama Under-20 National Team and has also played in the United Soccer League, starting for Pittsburgh Riverhounds
