FC Cincinnati's Mitch Hildebrandt signs with MLS club
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Mitch says "yes" to Atlanta United FC, the team announced on Friday.
FC Cincinnati's beloved goalie, Mitch Hildebrandt, has been signed by the Major League Soccer team Atlanta United FC.
“Over the last two years, Mitch has done a notable job at the USL level and has earned an opportunity to play in MLS,” said Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra in a post on the ATLUTD.com website. “We’re pleased to add him to our roster and are confident in his ability to add to the overall quality of our goalkeeper contingent.”
Hildebrandt was a fan favorite and spurred the stadium-shaking chant of "Mitch Says No!" whenever he successfully blocked shots on goal.
"We’ll never forget all of the no’s you gave us. Thanks and best of luck, @mitchhilde. ??," said FC Cincinnati in a tweet.
