Konig tallies in FC Cincinnati's road loss at Charlotte
MATTHEWS, N.C. (WKRC) – Eastern Conference leader FC Cincinnati suffered its first road loss of the season, falling to the Charlotte Independence, 4-1, on Saturday night at the Sportsplex at Matthews.
After going into the halftime break down 2-0, FCC’s Danni König cut the Independence’s lead to one at 2-1 just after halftime. However, the hosts responded six minutes later to re-stake a two-goal lead before closing the door with an 87th-minute goal.
