OXFORD, Ohio (WKRC) -- Miami University men's basketball announced the signing of Zach McCormick (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) and Roderick Mills (Liberty Township, Ohio/St. Xavier) to National Letters-of-Intent on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

McCormick is a 6-foot-2, 175-pound combination guard who preps at Turpin High School. He was a Division I Honorable Mention All-State selection and earned all-area and all-district honors as a junior. Last season, he averaged 26 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 2.4 apg for the Spartans. McCormick is rated the top senior guard in the state of Ohio by several scouting services and also was offered by Ohio, Tennessee and numerous other programs.

Mills is a 6-foot-7, 185-pound wing who preps at St. Xavier High School. He earned All-GCL South honors as a junior while averaging 10.6 ppg and 5.3 rpg. He also was recruited by Toledo, Kent State, Princeton, Belmont, Brown and Bucknell.

“We are extremely excited about the signing of Zach McCormick and Roderick Mills, who are two young men from local high schools,” said Miami University head coach John Cooper. “I think we are getting two quality young men and two individuals who will play well within our style of play. They have the ability to score and we are starting to bring more size to each of our positions. They are both very good students and we look forward to them joining our program.”
