EVANSVILLE, Indiana (WKRC)-- Wade Megan's three-point night and Rob Madore's first shutout of the season highlighted a Cincinnati Cyclones (5-0-0-0) 7-0 win over the Evansville IceMen (3-1-0-0) in front of 4,356 at the Ford Center on Friday night.

The Cyclones exploded for three goals in the span of 4:54 midway through the opening period to grab a commanding lead. Wade Megan extended his point streak to a league-leading five games by notching a his third goal of 2013-14, followed by Brett Wysopal's second lamp lighter of the season, and then Barry Almeida added a power play goal at the 11:56. John McFarland potted another Cincinnati goal at 16:22 to give the Cyclones a 4-0 edge through 20 minutes.

Cyclones rookie Vinny Saponari collected his first professional goal at 16:32 of the middle stanza, as he beat Allen York (L, 22 saves, 0-1-0-0) with a backhanded wrist shot that extended the already extensive lead to 5-0. And thanks to 12 more saves from Cincinnati goalie Rob Madore (W, 26 saves, 4-0-0-0) in the frame, the Cyclones held the five-goal lead at the second intermission.

Megan would again light the lamp as he redirected another point shot from Wysopal through York's legs at 2:01 of the third period. Then, at 9:19, Paul Crowder capped off the scoring with this third goal of the season to make it 7-0. And with Madore coming up with a few saves in the final minutes, he preserved his first shutout as a Cyclone.
