EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WSYX/WTTE) - A now-former Ohio State basketball player was arrested overnight in Evansville, Indiana.

JaQuan Lyle, who quit the team on April 11, was arrested on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief to vehicle.

The police report says Lyle was asked to leave a bar called Piston's because he was bumping into people while walking around. The report also says Lyle punched the door of the bar while being escorted out by a police officer.

Lyle is accused of yelling at a woman with a group of his friends before punching the hood of a police car. He was arrested shortly after and booked with no further incident.

According to an OSU athletic department spokesman, Lyle quit the team last month but gave no details about Lyle's departure.
