CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Cincinnati pitching dug the bats an early hole that the Reds couldn't crawl out of Tuesday in a 6-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It was a less-than-promising start for Reds right-hander and rotation hopeful Tim Adleman, who gave up five hits and five earned runs in 3 1/3 innings of work, taking the loss.

Joey Votto's spring struggles continued. He posted an 0-3 day with two strikeouts and is batting a dismal .154.

The Reds are back in action Wednesday in Goodyear against the San Diego Padres.
