CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Reds first baseman Joey Votto might have been put in an unfamiliar position being heckled in his own ballpark.

The All-Star was in the on-deck circle at Great American Ball Park before an at-bat against the Cleveland Indians on Monday night when Tribe fans began to rip into him, as seen in video posted on social media.

"I remember when you used to be good," said one fan before Votto returned serve. "I remember when you used to be thin," Votto said.

Votto knew one fan was filming and pointed that out during the give-and-take.

"Now you guys are just talking. You're not stating facts," Votto said. "Right now this guy's filming this. I've got something to lose. You guys don't even have a life so you've got nothing to lose at all."

Votto then doubled in the ensuing at-bat.
