U.S. Bank Arena tabbed to host NCAA Tournament first and second round in 2022

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The NCAA announced on Tuesday that Cincinnati will be a site for first-round and second-round NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament games in 2022 with U.S. Bank Arena being the venue, according to the University of Cincinnati athletics twitter account as UC will technically be the host school for the tournament.

Cincinnati has not hosted an NCAA Men's Tournament game since 1992. It hosted regional tournaments in 1979 and 1987 and first-round/second-round games in 1988 and 1992. All of those games were held in what is now U.S. Bank Arena, but was then called Riverfront Coliseum.
