Xavier baseball heads to Louisville for NCAA Tournament
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - They are the reigning champs of the Big East, but that's just the start for the Xavier baseball team.
The next stop is Louisville and the NCAA Tournament for the Musketeers.
The team departed on Wednesday right after its final practice at Hayden Field and will face Oklahoma at 2 p.m. on Friday at Louisville's Jim Patterson Stadium.
Xavier is in the tourney for the third time in the past four years.
Xavier (32-25) is the No. 3 seed in the four-team pod and Oklahoma (34-22) is the No. 2 seed.
Louisville (47-10) is the No. 1 seed and Radford (27-30) is the No. 4 seed.
The format is double elimination.
