Xavier basketball takes diamond for annual softball charity outing
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Xavier men's basketball team took the diamond for its annual charity softball World Series. on Monday.
The day, more about the entertainment value, fun and raising funds for the Mack Family Foundation than anything else, saw seniors J.P. Macura and grad-transfer Kerem Kanter as captains of one team opposite a team captained by seniors Trevon Bluiett and Sean O'Mara. Team Macura won 11-6, with Quentin Goodin named game MVP.
The Musketeers, who saw their incredible postseason run end with an Elite 8 loss to Gonzaga, will begin the season ranked in the top-20 in most preseason polls.
