Xavier forward Kaiser Gates hires agent, forgoing senior season
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - After graduating its three leading scorers from last year's team, Xavier's 2018-19 roster was dealt another blow Friday night when it was reported that forward Kaiser Gates had hired an agent and would forego his senior season.
Gates averaged 7.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game last year while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from 3-point range.
The news of Gates hiring an agent was first reported by Draft Express' Jonathan Givony when he noted that Gates was among a group of underclassmen who declared for the draft with an agent but weren't invited to the NBA Draft Combine.
Gates then made it official with an announcement on Twitter Saturday evening.
