Xavier freshman Jared Ridder decides to move back home
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Xavier University forward Jared Ridder, a 6-7 freshman from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Mo., announced his intention to withdraw from Xavier and move back home.
In a release sent out by Xavier's athletic department, Ridder's desire to be back home was cited.
“Jared has indicated to the coaching staff that he has a desire to be closer to home,” said Xavier head coach Chris Mack. “While we are disappointed, we all want Jared to be happy moving forward. We wish him nothing but the best.”
Three days after his post on social media stating he was transferring, Ridder tweeted that he was going to Missouri State in his hometown.
