Deb Dixon has worked in almost every area of the WKRC-TV newsroom. In fact, she began her career at Local 12 as the station`s Graphic Artist in April, 1974. The day after she began working at the station, tornadoes hit Xenia. She helped the assigned reporter cover the story. The news bug" bit, and she worked as a producer before becoming a full-time reporter.
In 1980, Deb helped bring Crimestoppers to Cincinnati. Since there were so few in the country, some people were reluctant to risk trying such a franchise. It became a highly useful tool that has led to the arrests of hundreds of murderers, rapists and thieves, and pays out a hundred thousand dollars a year in reward money all donated by the people and businesses of greater Cincinnati. Deb says,"As a founder of Crimestoppers, Local 12 helped Cincinnati become a safer place to live. We are all proud of that."
Deb graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, OH. She is married with two children.
