Megan Moore came home when she joined the Local 12 News team in December, 2015 as a reporter for Good Morning Cincinnati. She was born and raised on Cincinnati's west side in North College Hill. Interestingly, her birth even made news. Megan was a Christmas day baby and was featured in the local newspaper in a big red stocking being delivered to her mom by Santa himself.
Most recently Megan was an award winning reporter at WLEX-TV, Lexington; the 2015 Best Multimedia Reporter award winner by the Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters. She started her career as a reporter, producer and news anchor at WPBN/WGTU in Traverse City, Michigan.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast News from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Kent State University. She was active in student media at KSU and in 2011, the Society of Professional Journalists recognized her for her in-depth reporting. In Cincinnati, Megan graduated from North College High School.
Megan loves hanging out with her friends and family. When not getting up early for Good Morning Cincinnati, you will likely catch her outside in Cincinnati's beautiful parks or inside on a volleyball court.
Megan married her high school sweetheart, Nate, and they are both grateful to be raising their son, Jayden, back in the place they've always called home.
