In the journal of the American Medical Association researcher analyzed the diets of 73 thousand people. They put them into five categories. Some ate only plant foods, some added fish or eggs or cheese, but no matter which plant-based diet they chose, researchers found vegetarians had a 12 percent lower risk of all cause mortality, compared to those who didn't eat a plant-based diet.
