Health Alert: Add food to eat less

CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- A new report shows you might want to add a food to your lunch to help you eat less.

We all know the difference between full and satisfied when it comes to a meal.  This study took a look at a food that might influence both.  We stopped out at the Clovernook Country Club to tell you more about this research.

We are here for a ladies luncheon and this study did look at lunch to see what it takes to be able to full and satisfied.  In this study they looked at 26 people and found that participants who added just half a fresh avocado to their lunch reported increased satisfaction at meals.  They also found they ate forty percent less food over a three hour period.

We don't really know why this is working but avocados have high fiber, a good kind of fat, and can be satisfying to add to a meal.  If you like them maybe adding just a half of one could make you feel the best blend of both.
