Health Alert: Volunteers to answer questions about Affordable Care Act
CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- Dozens of volunteers will be in our studios Wednesday to answer your questions about registering for health care coverage.
It's all part of a last minute push to get people signed up under the new Affordable Care Act. In just a little more than ten days it's the cut off to register for one of these plans. So Wednesday we will have dozens of volunteers here to answer questions if you do want more information.
They will be in our studios and I sat down with one Tuesday to tell you more. He is a family medicine provider who works with the homeless population.
Dr. Joe Kiesler tells us, "Just last week, I had a patient who was living in Montgomery lost his job. He just no longer had access to health care."
Now here's what you need to know. They want you to call if you have insurance and think you might need a different plan, or if you do not have coverage, those volunteers will be in the Local 12 studio beginning with our noon newscast Wednesday. They will stay here through 5p.m.
We have no charge for the calls and you can ask them whatever you need to know.
