Bob Harper's summer diet tips
CINCINNATI (Holly Firfer) -- Bob Harper is the man behind many of the transformations on "The Biggest Loser."
Now, he wrote a new book called "Skinny Meals" and he shared some of his nutrition tips.
First Harper advised to drink plenty of water. Sometimes when a person thinks they are hungry they are really dehydrated. He said drink a glass of water before every meal.
"Chances are you're gonna be a little bit more full, you're gonna be a little less likely to overeat," said Harper.
Another good routine he suggested was getting in the habit of eating breakfast. Skipping meals can leave you far too hungry.
Harper said that leads to, "No resolve whatsoever. Binging will happen, overeating will happen and it'll happen at night. At night when you're supposed to be watching every single thing that you're eating."
Harper is a big fan of vegetables and said people can eat as many as they want of most varieties, "No one is ever going to gain weight from eating broccoli, spinach, kale or ah, cauliflower. Unless they smother it in butter or cheese of course. And I do not want you to."
Keep the bad stuff out of the house.
Harper suggested, "Clear out those temptations because you're at home at night and you're exhausted, and if there is this big chocolate bar sitting in your cupboard, you're going to eat it."
