Police Seek Suspect In Deadly Home Invasion

Nine months after a deadly home invasion a family is one step closer to justice.  A murder warrant is issued for Dionta Thompson.  He is accused of gunning down Aaron Roseberry at his South Fairmount home.  One suspect, Alicia Turner, is already here at the jail.  Police arrested her days after the murder.  Roseberry's family is hoping Thompson soon joins Turner behind bars.

Aaron was a great kid.  Man, he was well-liked.  You can see with the pictures and if you had seen at his funeral, it was the biggest funeral I've ever been to.  So I mean there's a lot of people that want to see justice here.  Only a parent can describe their son with words like Michael Roseberry uses to explain how much he loved his son.

Since November, Roseberry has been coping with losing his son, Aaron, to gun violence.  It's the hardest thing that you can imagine.  I mean even when you think you're getting over it, it hits you hard.  So, i mean it's hard.  Nobody never needs to lose a kid, especially by somebody killing them, taking their life.

Police say Dionta Thompson is one of the suspects who burst into Aaron's South Fairmount home.  The suspects walked in, shot Aaron's dog, then shot Aaron when he jumped up after hearing the gunfire.  Investigators say it was a home invasion-robbery.

He was always calling Dad.  You know, Dad did this and Dad did that for him.  If he had survived this, I would've been the first person he would've called.

Alisha Turner is facing several charges in connection with Roseberry's death including aggravated murder.  The family is hoping people will see Dionta Thompson's picture and turn him over to police.

You know, I'm angry.  Dont get me wrong.  I'm very angry, but it is what it is and we just need to get them behind bars and ain't nobody out there would want this happen to one of their kids.

Alisha Turner is due in court next week for a hearing.  Aaron's father says investigators believe there could be more suspects who played a part in his son's murder.  If you can help police find Dionta Thompson or if you have any information that may help investigators, call our partners at Crimestoppers.  The number is 352-3040.   You could get a cash reward and you dont have to leave your name.
