Coroner: Toddler Died From Asphyxiation Due To Smothering

The Hamilton County Coroner has ruled that 15 month-old Robin Cottingham died of asphyxiation due to smothering.

Her mother, Janischia Cottingham, is being held on a one-million-dollar bond after being charged in her daughter's death.

Robin was discovered in their North Fairmount home last Thursday.

Also today, a grand jury indicted Cottingham on one count of aggravated murder (special felony), one count of murder (special felony) and one count of felonious assault (felony 2).

If convicted of all charges, she faces the possibility of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
