Man Helps Save Woman and Kids After Crash
A local mother wants to thank a good samaritan publicly after he helped her following a crash on the Ronald Reagan Highway.
Nicole Caldwell lost control of her vehicle when a tire blew out. She had her 4 kids in the car. They had been shopping for school supplies. The car flipped twice before landing upside down on the side of the road.
All four kids were crying and she was stuck. That's when she said a "miracle happened."
"I was very panicky, scared. It was just , it's still just unbelievable. It's just a feeling I can't even describe," Caldwell said.
She said a man appeared practically out of nowhere and pulled her and her four kids out very efficiently. No one was seriously hurt.
"He hugged me and he kissed me and he told me everything was going to be okay," Cadlwell said.
The man stuck around until emergency crews arrived and then he was off. She said his kindness made an otherwise terrifying experience a lot more calm.
"It's a blessing. I'm so grateful. I'm glad my babies are okay. I'm okay. I'm glad we're here to be able to tell about this," Caldwell said.
The 4 kids go back to school at Winton Hills Academy on Wednesday. They were able to get all their school supplies back.
The car was totalled. But Nicole Caldwell said she's not upset about that because here family is okay.
