One Heck of a Fee
We all get busy and from time to time forget to do things.
Lots of us over the years have even forgotten to return a movie or a book and had to pay a late fine.
Well this one is one heck of a fine, a bit over $6,000. Why is the fine so much? Well the book was finally turned in to the Kentucky College Library 160 years late.
Centre College in Danville says its received a book that was checked out in the 1850's.
It was discovered at the nearby Kentucky School for the Deaf.
The school believes it was checked out in 1855 because someone wrote the date "July 21st, 1854" in the book.
The staff tallied up the late fee, and at 10 a day and thats how they figured out that someone owes the library $6,000.
