Big Change for Horseshoe Cincinnati's Underage Visitors
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- People younger than 21 can still visit the Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, but now they'll have to be escorted by employees anytime they're inside the facility.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission voted Wednesday to make the change. It means anyone under the legal gambling age will need a state-licensed escort inside the casino to get to the interior restaurants, restrooms, gift shop or the second floor event center. Underage visitors can still get to Margaritaville and the Sports bar from the outside, without an escort.
Horseshoe Cincinnati had been allowing underage visitors to follow a specific path to the restaurants and the event center as long as they were with someone over 21.
The other three casinos in Columbus, Cleveland and Toledo do not allow any visitors who are under the age of 21.
