Police Find Pot at Sobriety Checkpoint

BLUE ASH, Ohio (WKRC) -- Police arrest a man after they say they find more than thirteen pounds of marijuana inside his van.

Officers were working at a sobriety checkpoint on Plainfield Road, Friday, September 20. When they stopped the van they say the could smell a strong odor of marijuana.

When they searched the van they found the pot hidden in trash bags along with several items of drug paraphernalia.

They charged the driver, 30-year-old Deonte Harlan, with trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Harlan is out on bond.
