Chain of Peace Along Reading Road

On Saturday night, people from all over the city lined Reading Road to send out a message to stop gun violence.

Hundreds turned out along Reading through a number of tri-state communities with candles lit and wearing t-shirts with anti-violence messages such as "I'm your brother, not your target." Many people also brought signs with pictures of their loved ones that were killed by gun violence.

People who organized Saturday's event said their goal was to just stop gunfire and violence for 24 hours. They want people to reflect on how gun violence affects the families of those involved.

Saturday night's vigil was organized after 17 year-old Keyshawn Wilson was gunned down in Lincoln Heights Sunday, September 22.
