Doctors Recommend Parents Start Thinking About Flu Season Now

Although it's not winter just yet, the American Academy of Pediatrics wants parents to start thinking about the flu season ahead.

New recommendations suggest that children ages six months or older should get a flu shot annually as soon as it's available.

For the first time this year there is a flu vaccine available that protects against four strains of the virus, rather than just three.

Doctor's said it's critical for people in vulnerable groups to get vaccinated as well.
