Shots fired at quarry leads to lockdown of nearby elementary school

PENDLETON CO, Ky. (WKRC) -- Shots fired in a Pendleton County quarry prompts a lockdown at a nearby school.

Deputies say the shooting was the result of road rage.

A driver says a dump truck ran a stop sign and almost ran over his car.

He followed the dump truck to the quarry, which is about a mile from Northern Elementary in Butler.

The shots did not hit anyone.

Police charged the driver of the car.

The school was only on lockdown for about 15 minutes.
