Second College Student Dies After Crash

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- A Miami University student dies following the crash that also killed a University of Cincinnati football player.

The family of 18-year-old Sean VanDyne released a statement, saying he has passed away. He was a freshman at Miami University. He had married his long-time girlfriend just a couple of weeks ago. His family says VanDyne and Ben Flick had been best friends since the second grade.

Sheriff's investigators say VanDyne was driving Saturday night, and crashed on Stahlheber Road near Morman Road. Flick was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 19-years-old.

Two other Bearcat players were also injured. Mark Barr is in critical condition. Javon Harrison is now in fair condition. Flick, Barr and Harrison had been redshirted this season. They had attended Saturday's game at Miami and were traveling back on their own.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
