Judge Sentences Local Man for Fatal Accident

CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A Clermont County judge sentences a New Richmond man to more than a year in jail for causing the accident that killed a woman and seriously injured her boyfriend.

Cody Rose was driving with a suspended license at the time of the July crash that killed Maria Linfert and left Steve Chaney seriously injured. Rose was driving on Bethel-New Richmond road when he turned left into the path of their motorcycle.

He also violated the terms of his bail by testing positive for oxycodone. He admitted to using marijuana and alcohol. He also failed to comply with electronic monitoring.
