Lincoln Heights Play

Residents in Lincoln Heights honored the village's history by putting on a play set in the sixties.

Local 12's Adam Clements explains how the show was a chance for those who were there to pass on the story to future generations.

The play is called Then Came Lincoln Heights. It is set during a time when the civil rights movement was in full swing and this Cincinnati neighborhood was still cultivating its own identity.

Lincoln Heights is a community that is not even a square mile in size but the village has a big story.

The play takes us back to the civil rights movement in Lincoln Heights. It is told from perspective of a nine year old girl.

The producers of the show say they are also raising money for a scholarship to give to a promising child in the Lincoln Heights community.
