Police Chief Candidates Down To Four

The search for a new Cincinnati Police Chief may have reached the Final Four.
City Manager Milton Dohoney, Jr announced Thursday afternoon that the screening committee has cut the list of potential candidates to four, with only one current internal candidate left in the mix.

Former Chief James Craig resigned effective June 22 to take the job as Detroit's Police Chief.

What began as a pool of 28 candidates, is now down to four. Over the coming days, each of the four candidates will be interviewed by the City Manager:

Jeffrey Blackwell, Deputy Chief, Columbus, Ohio Police Department
Michael Dvorak, Deputy Chief, Mesa, Arizona Police Department
Paul Humphries, Interim Police Chief, Cincinnati Police Department
Jerry Speziale, Deputy Superintendent, NY/NJ Port Authority Police

The City Manager can choose one of the finalists or continue looking at other applicants until the position is filled.
