Elderly Clerk Beaten and Robbed at Norwood Laundromat

About 9 a.m. Monday night, police were called to the Coin Operated Laundry on Williams Avenue in Norwood. That's where the elderly clerk had been beaten and robbed.

The 78 year-old victim was alone inside the laundromat when she was attacked. The suspect reportedly cornered her when she was inside a small closet. She was thrown to the ground and her arm was cut.

The victim told police the suspect stood on top of her and demanded money. He stole cash from her pockets and ran off.

The suspect is described as a thin white man with light brown hair and a thin beard. He was reportedly not wearing a shirt at the time of the attack and his torso was covered in tattoos.
