Few Problems Reported in Kentucky Health Exchange Program

COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) -- More than 26,000 people in Kentucky are signed up for medical coverage through the new Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange.

The vast majority of them will be on Medicaid.  More than 21,000 people enrolled in Medicaid and another 4,800 signed up for private insurance plans since October 1st.

More than 300,000 have visited the exchange website.  51,000 people have begun filling out applications.

Governor Steve Beshear has received accolades for the roll out of the health reforms.  It's been relatively free of problems, unlike the Federal Health Benefit Exchange.
