Prosecutor Calls Man, "Serial Killer in the Making"

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) --  The prosecutor says it's fortunate police caught up with this suspect when they did because he likely would not have stopped.

Investigators say Bennie Thomas attacked three women in Hamilton.  Those attacks took place within a matter of hours.  Local 12 News reporter Larry Davis is live with more on one of the final chapters in this case.

The Prosecutor says there was no plea deal here, no chance at all.  He credits Hamilton County Police for getting Bennie Thomas off the streets before someone was murdered.

Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser doesn't mince words when describing Bennie Thomas III.

Thomas pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of felonious assault.  There was no plea deal.

Hamilton Police say during an 18 hour period back in June Thomas punched one woman, shot at another, and then shot and wounded a third woman.  Police say that Thomas then drove around the bar where he shot the third woman and fired more shots at the victim, missing her.

Gmoser says that Thomas knew all three of his victims.  A few years ago Thomas was charged with beating one of them with a tire-iron type weapon.
Thomas faces between 12 and 34 years in prison when he's sentenced.
