Road Reopens after Fatal Crash

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A fatal crash closed down State Route 63 for about two hours in front of the Lebanon Correctional Institute Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened around 6:30p.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol released a statement saying 18-year-old Kelsie Barger lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line and  struck an oncoming car.  She died at the scene.

Jose Lugo, 51, was the operator of the vehicle that was struck head-on by Barger.  Lugo had five other passengers with him.  All were transported to Atrium Medical with non-life threatening injuries.

State Route 63 was closed between 741 and Union Road but reopened around 9p.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
