Foreclosure Prevention Phone-a-thon
CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- A foreclosure prevention phone-a-thon is underway Wednesday and Thursday for at-risk homeowners.
The city of Cincinnati, the Homeownership Center of Greater Cincinnati, CET, the State of Ohio Save the Dream Program and the State of Indiana Hardest Hit Program are all involved with the effort to keep people in their homes.
Ohio and Indiana have been awarded close to a billion dollars from the US Department of Treasury to help homeowners at risk of foreclosure, especially those who haven't been able to use other foreclosure prevention programs.
Homeowners can call 877-7BUZZUS (877-728-9987) on October 9 and 10 from 6 a.m. To 7 p.m. Callers will be scheduled to meet with counselors to help apply for funds and move to a foreclosure alternative.
