Mother Gets Probation for Endangering Child
CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A Clermont County woman will spend 5 years on probation after she admits she put her own child in danger.
Victoria Gans held her son, Noah Philpower, as she listened to the judge today. Gans already pleaded guilty to child endangering. If she violates her probation, she could spend up to two years in prison.
The Batavia woman took her 14 month old son, Noah, to Children's Hospital back in March. Doctors determined the child had a severe skull fracture and brain bleeding. The child's baby sitter, Alexsis Aexton, admits harming the boy. But Gans only called for help after someone else threatened to do it for her.
As part of her sentence Gans is allowed to visit her son once a week. He is now living with his grandparents.
