Ex-Police Officer Avoids Jail in Pot Operation
HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A former local police officer avoids jail time for his connection to a marijuana smuggling operation.
A federal judge today sentenced Bryon Roos to two and a half years of probation.
Roos admitted handling money for an operation that involved at least ten other men. He allowed hundreds of kilos of marijuana into the area through the "Ace-One Auto Sales" car dealership in Colerain Township, which he co-owns.
Roos' attorney says the former North College Hill officer is extremely remorseful and is now a stay-at-home dad focusing on his four- month-old son.
