New Charges for Suspect in Police Standoff

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- A man charged in a deadly shooting that led to a police standoff faces new charges Friday.

A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Al Rashid on charges of special felony murder, burglary, abduction and a weapons charge.

Police say Rashid shot and killed Michael Howe earlier this month in Bond Hill.  Howe's body was found on the sidewalk on California Avenue near Oberlin.

When police cornered Rashid, he forced a standoff with officers in West Price Hill that prompted the lock down of Seton and Elder High Schools.
