Nativity Scene Moved from Park to Church
BELLEVUE, Ky. (WKRC) -- It's only October and there is already a controversy over a nativity scene.
The Bellevue neighborhood association is moving its nativity display from Nagel Park where it's been for 42 years.
The president of the group says its been looking for a place to properly care for and display the nativity. It will now be set up in front of Saint John's United Church of Christ on Fairfield Avenue.
The Bellevue neighborhood association is a nonprofit with no religious or political association and it's donating the figures to the church. Not everyone is happy with the break in tradition. Opponents have launched a facebook site dedicated to keeping the display in Nagel Park.
